White sauce pasta recipe – Easy home-made white sauce pasta

White sauce pasta also called Bechamel sauce pasta, is one of the favourite meal that can prepare within 15 to 20 minutes.

Ingredients for pasta

  • ¾ cup Pasta
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Water

Ingredients for Vegetables

  • 1 ½ teaspoon Oil
  • ¼ cup Chopped carrot
  • ¼ cup Chopped capsicum Green
  • ¼ cup Copped capsicum Red
  • ¼ cup Chopped broccoli
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

White sauce ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp Butter
  • ½ teaspoon Chopped garlic
  • 1 ½ tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups Milk
  • ¼ teaspoon Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt


  • Boil 2 cups of water in a pan.
  • Add ¼ teaspoon of salt when it gets boils.
  • Add 3/4 cup of pasta to the boiling water. 
  • Stir the pasta for 10 to 12 minutes. Cook it until pasta becomes soft. 
  • Once the cooking is done, move the cooked pasta to another vessel and drain the excess water.
  • Add 1 ½ teaspoon of oil to another pan and add chopped carrot, capsicum, broccoli and salt to it. 
  • Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes under high flame and move to another vessel.
  • Add 1 ½ tbsp of butter to the pan under medium flame and add ½ teaspoon of chopped garlic and cook it for 30 seconds
  • Add 1 ½ tbsp of all-purpose flour to it, stir and cook for one minute. 
  • Add 1 ½ cups of milk while stirring and keep stirring for 1 to 2 minutes
  • Low the flame and stir it for 4 minutes till it gets thicken.
  • Add ¼ teaspoon of oregano, ¼ teaspoon red chilli flakes and a little black pepper powder and salt to the mixture.
  • Mix well all ingredients and add cooked vegetables and pasta to it. 
  • Turn off the flame and mix all the ingredients well. 
  • Transfer it to another plate and the pasta is now ready for serving. 


  • You can use white pasta or whole wheat pasta as per your choice.
  • It is important to cook pasta properly to get the desired style.
  • Boil the water and add ¼ teaspoon of salt before adding the pasta.
  • After adding pasta to the boiling water, stir it well, not to stick pasta each other.
  • The cooking time of each type of pasta is different. Check the packing for the exact cooking time.
  • The main ingredient of white sauce pasta is the sauce itself, so take extra care while preparing the sauce.
  • Always better to serve when the pasta is hot, it will get thick when its cools down.
  • Keep 2 to 3 tbsp of pasta water in a separate bowl. Pasta sauce will get thicken when it cools down, so the pasta water will help to thin the sauce.
  • To serve the cooled down pasta, reheat it with ¼ cup of milk to make it thinner.
  • To make pasty cheesy, add 2 tbsp of cheese along with the butter.
  • Any vegetables can be used as per your taste.
