Butter cookies have also known as butter biscuits or danish biscuits are prepared using butter, flour and sugar. Their crisp texture makes it an all-time favourite snack. The fat in butter helps keeps baby bellies full. This blog is explaining how to cook butter cookies easy at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 100 gram Butter Unsalted
  • 5 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • ½ tbsp Vanilla Essence Optional
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions
 

  • Soften butter at room temperature
  • Beat the butter using an electric beater until it turns soft. 
  • Add sugar and continue beating until the mixture become creamy. 
  • Add vanilla essence into the mixture for flavour. 
  • Finally, add the flour and beat gently until just incorporated. 
  • Our cookie dough is ready.
  • Line the baking tray is using butter paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Cookie dough can be piped into the baking tray using a piping bag.
  • Refrigerate this for at least 20-30 minutes. 
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Place the cookie dough and bake it for 25 – 30 minutes or until the edges become crispy.
  • Take out the cookies and let them cool down completely.

Notes

Useful tips
  • If the cookie dough is thick, add 1 tbsp milk to thin it out.
  • You can add chocolate chips, cashew nuts, almonds, to the cookie dough to add more flavour.
  • You can scoop the cookie dough using your hands after greasing with oil or butter. Roll the dough to any desired shape.
  • Adding sprinkles or sugar on top of the cookie dough before baking makes it look more attractive.
