Classic French Toast Recipe
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp of cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Butter or oil for frying
- Maple syrup powdered sugar, or fruit for topping (optional)
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are evenly coated.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
- Once the butter or oil is hot, add the slices of bread to the skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fruit on top (optional).
